Alfred Görig was born in 1947 in Augsburg. From 1966 to 1969 he studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich and later with Robert Jacobsen. After seven years in New York he received scholarships from the City of Augsburg and Munich. Alfred Görig lives and works in Munich and New York.
