Between 1985 and 1990 Stephan Fritsch studied painting at the academy in Munich with professor Helmut Sturm and later became assistant there of professor Jerry Zeniuk.

His paintings were already shown in Munich in several galleries as well as in Chicago, Cincinnati, Basel or Marseille.
